Mug Press Imaging Instructions

To ensure successful image transfer to your mug, please follow these steps:

  1. Tape the imaged sublimation paper onto your mug with the image facing it.
  2. Refer to the instructions that came with your mug press for the correct time and temperature settings. If you have purchased one of our Mug Presses, the suggested time and temperature settings are listed above. Alternatively, you can find the instructions for other mug presses by clicking on the SUPPORT, DOWNLOADS & TEMPLATES tab.
  3. Place the mug into the mug press and make sure the press has reached the correct temperature.
  4. Close the mug press. Note that the temperature may drop when you close the press, but this is normal.
  5. Once pressing is done, immediately remove the sublimation paper and dunk the mug in warm water. Finally, leave it on the table to dry.

We hope these instructions will help you successfully transfer the image to your mug. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

Convection Oven Instructions

Press Temperature: 375°F |  Time: 6 minutes (test in your oven for accurate time) | Peel: Hot

  1. Please ensure that the convection oven has reached the set temperature of 375°F. Then, carefully tape the imaged sublimation paper onto the wine cup, with the image facing the cup.
  2. Next, place the shrink wrap around the wine cup and use a dryer or heat gun to heat the shrink wrap, which will tighten it around the cup.
  3. Place the wine cup in the convection oven, making sure that it does not touch any other object.
  4. Once the timer counts to zero, open the convection oven and use gloves or a heat resistant cloth to handle the cup as it will be extremely hot.
  5.  Carefully remove the shrink wrap and then the sublimation paper.
  6. Leave it on the table to cool, not dunking it in water.

Please note that the temperature and time settings are only a guide and some convection ovens may require tweaking. Only use a convection oven, not a conventional oven. For a downloadable template and instructions, please visit the SUPPORT, DOWNLOADS & TEMPLATES tab.
